While we will dearly miss the gathering together in small hotel rooms, staying up ‘til all hours discovering new music, and spending in-person time with friends and community members who we love, we are thrilled that there is still a way for us to come together to share and inspire one another with Folk Unlocked, Folk Alliance’s virtual conference.

Della Mae has been making the most of quaran-time by creating awesome new remote-collaboration videos! “You’re So Vain” was first aired at Spirit of Grey Fox 2020 in July. “Mississippi Half Step” premiered at Beyond Daze, a celebration of Jerry Garcia’s birthday. Check em out…

Della Mae recently participated in the “Spirit of Grey Fox 2020” Virtual Festival, in which they premiered a brand new video of a quarantine-inspired tune, “Party on the Lawn”. This song inspires us all to still have fun, even in these times of social distance!

In recent months, as we’ve adjusted to quarantine conditions, artists, labels and presenters are pivoting to reach fans. In absence of concerts, live streams have surged. New technology has emerged. As we simultaneously commit ourselves to social justice and cultural equity work, dramatic change is afoot. Managers and agents have re-oriented services to support artists’ evolving needs.

Although touring as we use to know it is on hold for now, Della Mae is still creating, playing, performing, and finding ways to have fun and grow their music and mission. For the past few months, the women of Della Mae have been presenting two weekly livestream performances…
